This strangely named place can be located by travellers on the N2 Garden Route, near the area of Mossel Bay. The origin of the name is unknown, but rumor has it that it refers to the “boggom” (bark) of the baboons.
Visitors can look forward to activities such as tennis, golf, coastal hikes and fishing. Vleesbaai and Dana Bay are nearby, providing a good walking activity. Look out for the bushbok, steenbok or Cape pheasant, which roam in the area. Fisherman can look forward to autumn and winter, where they will find the waters rich with elf, kob and leervis.
Boggomsbaai is a lovely holiday destination, with self-catering chalets available and a climate that averages on 24 degrees year-round.
